Let’s get a couple of things, important things, said upfront. This is a beautiful stallion coupled with an elegant modern look and a stunning pedigree. It does not hurt that he is more than a half brother to Scottsdale Champion Stallion and super-sire Exxalt and Exxaltress, this year’s Scottsdale Reserve Champion Mare, not to mention a true and elegant beauty. Vespascian is a three quarter brother to these two, given that they share the same dam and their sires, Shanghai and Excalibur, are a dynamic and gorgeous father/son team.
Beauty begets Beauty in this classic and classy scenario as Vespascian fits right into this threesome of top “male models” if you will. Actually brother Exxalt is in Dubai, or has been, covering the coveted collection of mares at Dubai Stud. And father Shanghai is owned by the Ajman Stud where he breeds some of the world’s very finest mares every year. So, this family is loaded with high achievers.
As you can see by the wins listed, for this year and at the top for Vespascian, he has a champion hoof in halter and one in performance, making him not only modern but ultra talented, as well.
